Mundo flotante.
Part of a solo exhibition in Studio Kura in Fukuoka, Japan. Inspired by a Spanish letter written in 1991 in a Japanese book I happened to pick up as well as the Ukiyo-e art movement and the art of 小野竹喬.
Working with capturing the stillness of everyday life, time, and repetition in the island of Itoshima with a series of overlays and fake risographs, each image is manipulated to form a new memory and textile ethereal feel. Inspired by the art I was seeing during my time in Japan.
